Magnificent Beasts!

I tell you...when Pieter says he has a feeling, you should listen. Something was definitely in the air today. Not only did we manage to coax 2 and a half hours from the battery, not only did we see rhino, not only did we see Pieter juggle ellie dung (yes he really did and yes that is a picture of it! lol)....we saw LIONS!
Two males new to the area. Now if they are just passing through or trying to challenge for any territory is another thing. I would assume they are just moving through the area but still...should be interesting if the Mapogos show themselves soon to defend their turf. It was amazing! Two brothers, one was larger and just had that air about him that made you sit back in awe. He, when he comes into his own, will be one magnificent creature...one who will be great. What is the Shangaan for that I wonder? We were only able to catch them briefly as they technically weren't within our drive area but WE were extended a very nice courtesy and were able to pop in to see them for a few seconds.

Pieter also added a blog post today that certainly speaks volumes. Boy this being in love thing agrees with him...he is even more eloquent with words now than before if that is at all possible. Whomever she is...she is a lucky gal!! lol
P.S. Sorry for the poor quality of the snaps...I was on a feed today that wasn't overly great. The other better feed wasnt working well for me at all.
