Well I took Lacy to the doctor's yesterday. Turns out a cold sometimes isn't just a cold. She has bronchialitis *sp?* Anyhow it's a viral infection similar to RSV that usually indicates she might end up with childhood asthma or allergies. Doesn't mean she WILL but she might. The heat and humidity didnt help this week either. With all of the pollutants in the air and pollen. She also has a rash thats combo of a heat rash and an allergic reaction to the crap in the air. So shes on cortozone cream for that. And on a mask and chamber puffer for her breathing. Poor thing....cream for her body, puffer a couple times a day, saline drops up her shnoze, vaporizer in her room, tylenol cold for her general stuffiness. I also have a requisition for a chest xray if she gets any worse. Saves me a trip into see her doc.
The good news is with all this crap I have to give to her... she's eating better. I could barely get an ounce down her with a fight. And lastnight through the night she had 9 oz. of formula in two feedings so woohoo!
It really sucks having a sick baby and even worse when I am sick myself. Logan has a slight cold but it's pretty much gone now. But now Brent is coming down with something too. So this weekend its going to be a pretty blah one at home. The most we may do is run to the scrap store in Bolton to pick up a Canadian Scrapbooker mag or two since I have a layout in it....Brents mom wants one and I want to give my father one.
